A Step-by-Step Guide to Healing Breast Cancer Naturally
You’ve been told you have cancer - Now What?
In my opinion, you’ve already taken big steps in the right direction. You’re looking for information so you may make informed decisions about your health. Congratulate yourself on taking that step. It is so much easier to simply give up, hand your life over to the medical “professionals”, follow their instructions like a robot and resign yourself to the horrors which may await. It takes a lot more self-love and inner strength to choose natural healing. I am hopeful that here you will find the support and answers to many of your questions, along with the guidance to help you heal, naturally.

Step 8 - Practice Being Thankful
What follows is the protocol I am successfully using to heal my own breast cancer and endorse here at Healing Breast Cancer Naturally. Before you get started, I want to get a few preliminaries out of the way.
First and foremost, take a deep breath and relax. Yes, you’ve been diagnosed with cancer but you know what? That’s okay. You have questions, you have fears, you may even have doctors and/or loved ones trying to push you into protocols which your gut instinct is telling you just don’t make sense for you. That’s okay too. It’s all part of what each one of us experiences. The important thing is how you choose to handle it.
One of the first things you should first realize is that your tumor has probably been growing inside you for years before it ever became large enough to be detected. Estimates ranging from 5 to 10 years are not uncommon. Knowing that your tumor may have already been growing inside your body for that long lets you know it is not going to do anything to you in the immediate future. You have time to do your research and to decide how to heal your body.
The other necessary preliminary is disclosure. I am not a doctor. I am a person with breast cancer just like you. What I am sharing here is what I have gathered from years of research, documentaries and personal experience. While I gladly share my knowledge with you, it is ultimately each person’s individual responsibility to do their own research and decide which is the best healing protocol for them.
Please realize that a cancerous tumor is not a disease. It is a symptom of an underlying disease, an unwell body, one which is not healthy enough for your immune system to address the cancer cells which naturally occur in most bodies. It is my goal to help you heal your immune system so it, in turn, can do its job and help heal the cancerous cells. Cutting cancer out or otherwise attacking it is not going to heal the underlying cause which, most often, is a weakened immune system. To heal cancer, it is essential that we heal the whole body.
Healing cancer naturally is an ongoing process. It is not a quick-fix, something you just do, are done with and then move on. It is a life-long change, replacing your old bad habits with new good ones. It is important to realize you do not need to implement these changes all at once. Please, take it one step at a time. Do what you can, adding more healing protocols as you are able. Your body did not create your cancer overnight. Accordingly, we can’t heal it overnight either. Please don’t take those words as meaning you can drag your feet. Cancer does have a tendency to behave sort of like that proverbial snowball rolling down hill. In the beginning, it really isn’t much but, as time goes on, if you ignore it or feed it, it gets bigger and it picks up speed. Obviously, the larger it becomes and the faster it starts to grow, the more urgency there must be.
You probably know at which stage you currently are. Act accordingly. Adopt these changes as they are practical to do so but, the sooner the better. Like any other worthwhile cause, it takes time and effort, but are you definitely worth it!

Step 1 - Breathe/Relax
Yes, I am repeating this. That’s because it is so important. Take a deep breath and relax. Fear and panic will only clutter your mind and cause you undue stress, making your situation worse. For more information on the basics regarding cancer, please read my document, Cancer - An Introduction. You will learn there is no reason to panic. Chances are nothing is going to happen to you anytime soon. You have time to learn about your new normal. You
have time to learn this is not a battle. It is, instead, a healing opportunity. Like many people, I felt that nearly overwhelming panic set in with my initial diagnosis. Fortunately, through
research and the knowledge I’ve gained, I now know my diagnosis was a gift, a wake-up call that I was not taking good enough care of myself; mind, body, spiritually, emotionally.
Take the time to breathe. Decipher what is important and what is not. Keep the good and get rid of the rest. Learn to meditate. Learn to love yourself. Find healthy, calming things which bring you joy and then enjoy them. Do whatever it is that helps bring you peace. Remember, you are still alive. Through the simple tools, you'll learn here, there is hope.

Step 2 - Adopt a Whole-Food Plant-Based Diet
I’m sure nearly everyone has heard the quote attributed to Hippocrates, “Let food by thy medicine and medicine thy food.” While hundreds of years old, that statement is as true today as it was back then. Plant foods have incredible healing properties. Most of our medicines, in fact, come from plants. Medicines are often nothing more than chemical versions of what is found in nature and, like nearly everything else, the original is usually better than any knock-off.
I’ll use strawberries as a quick example of food being medicine. Yes, they are sweet and we enjoy them but did you know they are so much more? They are high in anti-oxidants, they are anti-angiogenic (which means they help prevent tumors from developing new blood supplies), they help induce apoptosis (help cancer cells die), they support a healthy immune system (so your body can heal your cancer), they inhibit cancer cell growth (which helps prevent metastasis) and help remove toxins from your body. Who would ever have thought you were enjoying so many medical benefits when you eat a bowlful of strawberries? Do you know of any medicine which can do all that for you? Nearly every plant food we eat actively helps to heal our bodies. In part, because of their wonderful healing abilities, we recommend that everyone make the switch to a whole-foods, plant-based diet, also referred to as WFPB, organic whenever possible. What does this mean? Exactly what it says. We need to eat plants. That includes fruits, vegetables, grains, nuts, legumes, etc. We need to eat these in as close to their natural, unprocessed state as possible. Definitely avoid all GMOs. If fresh organic produce is not available to you, please check out the frozen foods section in your local grocery store.
If organic is not available in the frozen foods section, then organic canned fruits and vegetables are your next place to look, as long as you make sure the cans are not BPA lined. If organic is absolutely not available, please eat regular produce, making sure to wash it as thoroughly as you can to remove as many pesticides as possible. Eating regular produce is still better for you than not eating it at all. The only steadfast rule with a WFPB diet is absolutely no GMOs. Many GMOs, such as corn, are actually registered pesticides and can destroy your gut. Since it has been determined that much of our immune system begins in the gut, we must take care of it.
Why do we switch to a WFPB diet? Not only because plants have amazing healing properties but because animal proteins contain high levels of methionine, which feeds and protects cancer cells. Plant foods can be anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, help kill cancer cells, support a healthy immune system, and have a host of other cancer healing properties. Food from animals does not. For more information on why switching to a WFPB diet is so important, please read Why a Plant-Based Diet?

There are several other reasons why animal proteins are actually harmful to our bodies. For example, “When we ingest proteins that have a higher proportion of the essential amino acids (which is a characteristic of animal protein), it results in our bodies producing higher levels of the hormone-insulin-like growth factor-1 (IGF-1). This hormone stimulates cell division and growth in both healthy and cancer cells and, for this reason, having higher circulating levels of IGF-1 has been consistently associated with increased cancer risk, proliferation, and malignancy.”
Far too many make this basic step super difficult but it does not have to be. Some say you must avoid gluten. Unless you have been tested, and those tests show you are allergic to gluten, that’s not the truth. Far too many think they are allergic to gluten when, in fact, what they are actually allergic to is GMOs and the Glyphosate which GMO wheat and other grains are sprayed with.
Some say to avoid berries and other fruits, because of their sugar content. Wrong. Berries and other fruits are super beneficial for us and have a lot of cancer healing properties. Please know that natural sugars are safe for us. It is only the processed sugars that we must avoid. For more information about this, you may want to read my document on Sugar.

You may hear others say we must avoid flax, soy, dandelion root, and other foods/herbs with phytoestrogens. Wrong again. Phytoestrogens help block the more powerful, metabolic estrogens and xenoestrogens from docking at the receptor sites on a tumor. We want that. Heck, anyone with estrogen-positive cancer needs it. To learn more about how these and other foods containing phytoestrogens are beneficial for us, please read Estrogen - An Introduction.
The only plant food I know of that should be restricted is Brazil nuts, due to their very high methionine content. Ounce for ounce they have more methionine than steak and will feed cancer. I’m not saying that you cannot eat them but, when you do, please do so in very limited quantities and then make sure you focus on the foods which are very low in methionine, such as fruits, for the rest of the day so you do not consume too much methionine in any given day. For more in-depth information, please read Methionine.
It is also important to remember that the WFPB diet also includes “whole-food”. Just what does that mean? That means eating plant foods in as close to their whole, natural state as possible. That means avoiding processed food products. When I first made the switch to a WFPB diet I was enjoying many processed products, until I learned better. I was only focusing on the plant-based part and made the mistake of forgetting about the whole-foods. Grocery stores abound with frozen fake ‘hamburgers’ and other animal substitutes. Unfortunately, they are far too often filled with chemicals and are simply not healthy for us. Even fats, when still in the whole food form, can be healthy. Good examples of this are nuts, olives, avocados and the like. However, once processed and the oils are extracted, those too can contribute to cancer growth and should be avoided.
Even after receiving this information, some people will still ask “Well, what about organic, grass-fed beef?” “What about wild-caught salmon?” Etc. Animal proteins include anything which had a mother; whether it swims, crawls, flies or walks. Animal proteins include beef, lamb, pork, chicken, fish, shellfish, etc. It doesn’t matter if it is organic, grass-fed. We don’t eat it. This also includes products which come from animals, such as eggs and dairy. There are numerous science-based studies which document the harm animal foods do to our bodies. We need to heal, not harm, our bodies!
Making the switch from being an omnivore and eating the Standard American Diet (SAD) may seem rather intimidating at first but it really can be quite easy. There are numerous websites available which contain plant based recipes. (Please note that since these sites are not cancer specific, some of them may include sugar in their recipes and need to be modified accordingly. Please do not prepare those recipes unless you substitute processed sugar with a healthier alternative such as raw honey or organic maple syrup, dates or unprocessed/unbleached
stevia.)
Many plant foods are better for us if eaten in their raw state. It is super easy to do by juicing, making smoothies and eating a wide variety of salads. When having salads, please avoid commercially bottled dressings as they often have MSG, oils and other harmful ingredients in them. There are numerous recipes available for making your own delicious dressings. A quick internet search for oil-free vegan salad dressing recipes comes up with several options which are quick, easy to make and delicious. The following article provides a basic primer:
Step 3 - Detoxing

Day after day, probably every single day of our lives, we have been and are being exposed to toxins. Those toxins contribute to us being unwell, tax our immune system and provide an environment in which cancer can flourish. Toxins can be everything which comes into contact with our body, either directly on our skin, or is ingested by swallowing or
breathing. We must detox, both personally and our immediate environment.
What does that include?
Personally, that includes switching out your toiletries; make-up, deodorants, shampoo, conditioner, hair dye, lotions, sunscreen, soaps, water, toothpaste, dental floss, etc. That also
includes removing old amalgam (mercury-based) dental fillings and old root canals, and getting a good filter to provide clean water for cooking, drinking and, ideally, bathing, among other things. It also means not using aluminum, such as aluminum pots and pans nor aluminum foil. If you use a microwave, please use only glass, NOT plastic containers as plastics are known to release toxic chemicals into our foods.
As to your immediate environment, this also includes switching out your candles, air-fresheners, laundry soap, fabric softener, dryer sheets, household cleaners, dishwasher soap, rinse-aid, pesticides, etc.
I realize it may not be financially feasible to switch out every one of these commercial toxic products for organic ones all at once. So, start with the ones you use most often, such as your deodorant, make-up, soap and lotions and start using filtered water.
(Please note, much of the bottled water available today is not healthy as it is often treated tap water in plastic containers.) Continue making the transition to natural products as you are able to.
Some people believe that in order to detox, you must invest in a harsh internal ‘cleanse’ product. Others recommend potentially harmful protocols such as coffee enemas and colonics. Those are not necessary, are sometimes dangerous, and can actually be quite stressful on your body at a time when it needs less stress. It is estimated that our bodies are 75% water and our brains 85% so staying well-hydrated with purified water is essential to our body’s ability to detox. Eating an organic WFPB diet, which is naturally high in fiber, as well as drinking herbal teas also help you safely and gently detox your body.

Step 4 - Exercise
There are several reasons for this. First and foremost, it increases the oxygen levels in your blood and cancer does not like oxygen. Next, it helps support your lymphatic system, which is an essential part of your immune system. A healthy lymphatic system is key to helping heal cancer. Exercise can also help with losing excess body fat which has been shown to contribute to cancer. Once again, this can be done very simply. Going for walks is an excellent option. In addition to getting exercise, you are also receiving fresh air and vitamin D from sunshine, both of which are proven important factors in healing cancer. Jogging in place, old fashioned jumping jacks, etc. are all very helpful. I am not talking about running
marathons, doing mega work-outs or trying to turn yourself into someone who is ready for an Ironman competition. Just gentle exercise, 20 to 30 minutes a day, several days a week can make a big difference. If you can only do 5 minutes a day, do it. It’s at least a start and you can gradually build up from there as your body becomes used to it. If you can afford one, a rebounder is also very helpful with keeping your lymphatic system moving. For a better understanding, please read Understanding Lymph Nodes and Your Lymphatic System.

Step 5 - De-stress
Many may react with “What? I have just been told I have cancer? How can I not be stressed out?!” Believe it or not, you can.
The most important step I have found in doing so is going back to what I recommended in Step 1. Read the document, Cancer - An Introduction. Once you understand more about cancer and learn it's not much more than our body’s wake-up call that we need to take better care of ourselves, it becomes far less scary. With that knowledge, you become empowered, which instills confidence, which reduces stress.
Once you can accept that knowledge, you soon learn what many of us already have ... that a cancer diagnosis can actually be a gift, a chance to take care of ourselves the way we should have been all along. A second chance to get this right. Not everyone is so fortunate.
Believe it or not, stress can lead to depression and anxiety. It can also disrupt our immune systems. With a weakened immune system, any efforts to heal become an uphill battle. According to MD Anderson, “Stress hormones can inhibit a process called anoikis, which kills diseased cells and prevents them from spreading, ...” “Chronic stress also increases the production of certain growth factors that increase your blood supply. This can speed the development of cancerous tumors, ...”
Education is key in reducing your stress levels. I’m sure you’ve heard the quote “the greatest fear is the fear of the unknown”. That holds so true when it comes to cancer. With your new knowledge, the “what ifs?” become far less stressful.

Once you have a better understanding of what is going on in your body and how to heal it, the fear quickly lessens and, with it, the stress. So, please, do your research. There are so many wonderful articles available for free, thanks to the internet. There are
also numerous books on natural healing. Empower yourself by reading them. Another important step in de-stressing is to avoid toxic people. That includes any doctors, family members or anyone else who does not support you in your decision to heal naturally. Exposing yourself to and listening to those who tell you that your decisions are wrong, who try to scare you into doing things which you know in your gut don’t feel right for you, all add to your stress levels and should be avoided whenever possible.
One of the best approaches I have found with loved ones is to first acknowledge their own fears. Chances are, more likely than not, they are pushing you to do harmful conventional protocols because they are also scared and don’t know what else to do. When a person decides to jump on the conventional bandwagon, their loved ones can tell that they are “doing something”. Most often a person becomes miserably ill and weak, but it gives visible confirmation that something is being done. Unfortunately, it doesn’t dawn on most that what’s being done is harming the person. It’s what they know, what they believe in and it proves to them that you are trying. Not doing conventional protocols, particularly when we end up looking so healthy and full of life, can often come across as not doing anything. Most people have a hard time reconciling those conflicting messages in
their minds.
Arguing with them often comes across as you trying to tell them that they are wrong. Don’t argue. You can agree with them. Agree that, yes, this is scary and, yes, you need to do something about it. Assure them that you are doing something, you do not have a death wish, that you truly do want to live. Let them know you’ve done your research and you believe in your heart that natural healing will give you your best chance to live a long and healthy life.

You may even want to share with them the docu-series, The Truth About Cancer or the fabulous Ted talk by Dr. William Li, “Can We Eat to Starve Cancer?”.
Not every one will be assured and that’s okay. You’ll simply have to agree that each of you want the same thing, for you to heal, but that you just disagree on how to do it. Bottom line, let them know you love them and appreciate their concern but it is your body, your choice. Let them know the best way they can show their love for you is to support you in your
decision, just like you would support them in theirs if the roles were reversed. In addition to removing toxic people from your life, it is important to make “me time” to help reduce your stress. Take time to do things which bring you pleasure. Whether it’s gardening, painting, listening to music, doing yoga and/or meditation, soaking in a tub, sitting outside while reading a book, etc., do something for yourself. Simple ‘exercises’ such as deep breathing can also help reduce our stress levels. For many, finding a spiritual connection in their lives can be very freeing. For some that may be turning to their religion, for others it may be finding a spiritual connection in nature. Either way, it can be a major part of de-stressing and healing.
Step 6 - Emotional Traumas
Our physical healing depends in part on emotional healing. Just as stress can have a negative impact on our bodies, so can past emotional traumas. These can fester inside us, causing unrecognized damage to our bodies. In severe cases, they can interfere with our day-to-day living and wear down our immune systems. PTSD is a good example of how past traumas can have an adverse impact on our bodies. It doesn’t just go away on its own and must be addressed.
It’s been proven that emotional trauma is every bit as real as physical trauma. It is not “just in your head”. Emotional trauma leaves a real and lasting imprint on you body and your health.
“Untreated past trauma can have a big impact on your future health. The emotional and physical reactions it triggers can make you more prone to serious health conditions including heart attack, stroke, obesity, diabetes, and cancer, according to Harvard Medical School research.
Additionally, the risk of developing mental and physical health problems increases with the number of traumatic events you’ve experienced."
These traumas can contribute to our cancers and should be resolved as best we can in order to help with our healing. Whether you choose self-help books, seeing a counselor, hypnosis, self-analysis, or whatever works for you, just do it. Keeping a journal has also been shown to help sort through these past traumas.

Step 7 - Supplements
Initially, I was tempted to class this as Step 3 but I chose to put this nearly last as, if you are doing all the previous steps, these may not even be needed. I know many people focus heavily on supplements, looking to them as they would look to a doctor prescribing some magic pill to heal them. There is no magic pill. No quick fix. And supplements are
intended to be just what the name says ... a supplement. They are supposed to supplement
what we may not be able to get in sufficient quantities from our food. They are not a stand-alone treatment.
Think back to “let food by thy medicine”. Remember the strawberries and how they have the same exact cancer healing properties as many supplements? I recently decided to research the cancer healing properties of the fruit smoothie I often have for
breakfast. Would you believe my fruit smoothie is anti-estrogen, antioxidant, anti-angiogenesis, anti-inflammatory, induces apoptosis, supports a healthy immune system, inhibits cancerous cell growth and detoxes ... all without a single pill? Not one supplement required.
With that said, however, I realize that certain supplements provide the active healing ingredients of our foods in a more highly concentrated dosage and can simplify things. The best example is probably that of the supplement DIM, which has been said to be the equivalent to eating several pounds of broccoli. Yes, in that case, taking a pill is much easier. However, as an alternative, you could eat a cup of broccoli sprouts, which ends up having
the same nutritional benefit as eating 2-1/2 pounds of mature broccoli.

Vitamin D, is easily obtained by exposing our skin to sunshine. In fact, that is the best source. However, not everyone can spend 20-30 minutes outside each day, or live in an area where sufficient sunshine is available. For them, supplementing with Vitamin D often makes sense.
Iodine is very important for the proper functioning of our bodies and healing breast cancer. Fortunately, we can receive a high amount of iodine through the various seaweeds on the market. Dulse, wakame, nori, and others can be added to so many foods. Please note, however, that iodine should not be taken along with vitamin C, as the acid changes iodine to iodide which, while it can help our thyroid, does not help with breast cancer.
For guidance in selecting which supplements you wish to include in your healing protocol, please review my Supplement Spreadsheet. It lists several of the more common supplements, along with their anti-cancer properties. I also encourage you to please print out a copy of the blank Supplement Chart for your own personal use. On that, you can list each supplement you choose to take and check off which cancer healing properties each one has. This is the best way I know of to keep track of your supplements while making sure you are covering all the bases. You will be able to tell, at a glance, if there are any gaps in your supplement protocol. You’ll also be able to tell if you might be taking too many of any particular category.
Please also read the document on Supplement Questions & What to Avoid before purchasing any supplements. There are many ‘filler’ ingredients in some supplements that can actually interfere with your healing. One such common ingredient is magnesium stearate. It is used as an anti-clumping agent so the products flow easier through the machinery in the manufacturing process. Unfortunately, it has been found to suppress our natural killer T cells, the very ones we need to be active to help heal cancer. So, what good is it to take a supplement, which is meant to help you, if it contains an ingredient which suppresses your body’s ability to heal your cancer?
No matter which supplements you choose to take, please do your research. There are so many things to consider. Some supplements, such as the iodine and vitamin C I referenced above, cause reactions with each other. Some are water-soluble. Some need fats in order for our bodies to utilize. Turmeric requires pepper for better bioavailability. Some should be taken with or without food. Some supplements, such as vitamin C are better utilized by our
bodies in small, constant doses throughout the day rather than one large one such as with IV C.
The list of considerations goes on. If you choose to take supplements, it can become rather expensive and it’s important that you make sure you are not wasting your money. Another reason why the Supplement Chart is so important to use.

Step 8 - Practice Being Thankful
Yes, I can hear the questions now. I’ve been told I have cancer! How can I be thankful? Well, ask yourself. Are you alive? Did the sun come up this morning? Do you have a chance to heal? Those are all a good start and all are reasons to be thankful. Like many people diagnosed with this disease, I too became depressed for a while and did my share of
wallowing in self-pity. What helped bring me out of it was finding simple things to be thankful for. Hearing the birds’ dawn chorus as the sun is rising, appreciating the way the sun sparkles on a dewdrop or how good my morning cup of tea tastes. Learning to pay attention to and savor these simple things all helped me start feeling better about my life.
Believe it or not, putting a smile on your face, even if it is a fake one, can make you feel better. Go ahead, try it right now and pay attention to how it makes you feel afterwards. I think you’ll be surprised. Looking for the little every day things to be thankful for starts changing your mindset. It starts helping you have a more positive outlook on life and that more positive outlook can make a huge difference in
your ability to heal.
Of course, part of being able to be thankful in the morning, is getting a good night’s sleep. Sleep is so necessary not only in helping our body heal but in preparing ourselves for the coming day. Either a bad night’s sleep, or lack thereof, or a good night’s sleep can make all the difference in how you feel the next day. Please, make a point of getting to bed at a reasonable hour. No staying up all hours of the night watching the television or playing games. I try to make sure I’m in bed by 9:00 or, at the latest 10:00, each evening. To help get good quality sleep, it has been proven that we need to have our rooms as dark as possible. If you have a clock by your bedside which has a light on it, put it in a drawer. If there’s a street light outside your window, please get blinds which block the light. Not even a nightlight should be on in your bedroom. If need be, consider getting yourself a sleep mask. There is plenty of research which documents the importance of sleep in relation to our health and our mental outlook.
I’m sure we’ve all heard of the placebo effect, where a person given nothing more than a sugar pill ends up getting better, simply because they were told they would. On the other hand, we’ve all have probably heard about otherwise healthy people who have died,
simply because their doctor told them they were terminal. Our minds are incredibly powerful healing tools. Taking whatever little steps we can to help establish a more positive mindset and being thankful can and will help our bodies heal. Know that you are alive, that you are taking the steps to heal your body. Know that there is still joy to be experienced. Often, all you need to do is look for it.

Summary
Please remember, I am not a doctor and these recommendations are based upon my research and personal experiences with my own cancer healing journey. I offer this basic protocol as a good starting point, to be tweaked to meet your own needs as you, your research and personal experiences show are right for you and your body.
Obviously, each one of the steps outlined above is simply a brief summary of what is involved to heal our cancers naturally. It is my hope that it provides you with a good foundation for your healing protocols and the basic guidance and peace of mind you need as you begin your healing journey. As time goes by, you will fine-tune what works for you and what doesn’t.
A few final notes on this ... as you continue to do your own personal research you will encounter numerous claims of one miracle cure, a must-have supplement, or a new ‘state-of-the-art’ machine or technique. Please refrain from jumping on the bandwagon. It is very tempting to be lured by their promises, to turn over your money with high hopes of a cure. Far too often, however, those promises turn out to be false. There is no quick fix. Like the tale of the tortoise and the hare, slow and steady wins in our healing journey.
Just as your cancer did not form overnight, it is not going to heal overnight either. It takes time. For many, many people, these healing protocols work, but do not expect to see results in just a matter of weeks. Implement your protocol and then stick to it. Please do not just dabble in a little bit of something here and a few weeks of something else over there, hoping to find some miracle cure. Natural healing takes time, commitment and faith but it is possible.
While these protocols are known to be effective in healing cancer, if your cancer is already advanced, the relaxed one step at a time approach may not necessarily be the right one for you. I would highly recommend that you adopt a more intense approach, fine tuning it as needed, including juicing and doing as many of these protocols at once as you are able. Even so, please know this is still very doable. There are many women who have been told they were terminal, such as Dr. Lorraine Day, and managed to turn this around and are doing well today.
Finally, none of us is perfect. Along this healing journey there will probably be times when you’ll make a mistake or two. I surely have made my share over the last five years. When it happens, please don’t beat yourself up over it. Forgive yourself and move on, with the mindset that you will do better.

Then when you know better, do better.”
